Have You Heard About Steam?
I know I'm usually not the most up-to-date on stuff but a friend recently introduced me to Steam, and I'm lovin' it. Steam is a new way of gaming. Instead of purchasing a disc and playing on a console, you buy games through your account which can then be downloaded onto any computer. The benefit is that when you buy a game, you not only have it for life but you can download and play it on ANY computer. It seems to be a better way than the DRM issue most PC games have.
What I like most about Steam is that discs can be damaged or lost and controllers break all the time, but with a Steam account as long as you've got a computer, you've got a complete library of games. Steam is powered by Valve who we all know gave us great games such as Half-Life, Team Fortress and Portal. This is the future of gaming.
I've already been enjoying Braid and Machinarium over the last couple of weeks.
Steam also offers tons of free demos to download and regular sales on games. So why not check it out? Signing up is free and you can learn more about it on http://store.steampowered.com/
